Was wondering if anyone else has issues with their truck blowing weird smelling air in their truck with the windows up and ac fan on?

Best way to describe it is it smells like fart...

Pull your cab filter and see if something died in there.

Change cabin air filter, then spray a bunch of lysol in the duct in front of the windshield. I deal with this pretty often getting water off the street into the duct cuz I mob through a certain deep puddle every time it rains.

Also, if you run the AC on recirc, it creates moisture in the system and gets musty. Turn recirc off a few mins before you get to your destination and you are G2G

was it made in Texas or Mexico? Mine came from Mexico and smells like a taco. But Gunshot is right, you have moisture in the system.

Might be mildew, I usually turn the AC off about a mile or so from home to let the airflow dry out the system.

Over time, you could have mildew growing in the AC vents due to the condensation in the system. One thing you can try doing is spraying Lysol in your interior vents, and turning your AC on without the recirculation while spraying Lysol into the intake vents under your windshield.

I have a fairly new truck (11,000 miles) and have had this issue intermittently since early on. The smell I get is sweet though, however i don't see any coolant leaks or overflow...

I think it's mildew. Turn your compressor (CA) off before your destination, allowing the system to "warm up" slightly before you stop. Less condensation, less moisture, less mildew.

It's a balancing act. You don't want to roast. But you don't want it to stink either.

    Upgrade Mishimoto Weighted shift knob
Open your Windows when you spray the Lysol with the AC on.

I tried that on the '16 SR5 I traded off. I could not get the hose past the firewall via the a/c drain tube.
