That's why I take my 1st gen 4wd Tundra on the more difficult stuff, but I'd rather keep the tow rig as is.

I won't be going, need to do some fiberglass repair and some truck prep.

The top of Lusardi is a locked gate. That's why it's an out/back trail.

Is there a reason we are starting in Temecula if the trail is up in Ramona?

You’ll want to start in Ramona if you’re going to do Lasardi. I’d recommend doing Black Mountain if you can though. It’s a little more challenging but the view is worth it.

No, I have plans this weekend and need to inspect a mystery noise from the front of my truck.

Stator bros and Albertsons in Ramona have huge parking lots ideal for a meeting spot. Albertsons probably being the better of the two because it’s usually not as busy on the Chase Bank end.

Typically, I’m with you but this one is bad enough to be concerning.

My experience has taught me that if I can't get a noise to disappear with enough of this stuff, then it's probably something I need to look into further.

Unless of course were taking about something that requires a specific lubricant/grease

Is Black Mountain doable with a stock DCLB? No super tight switchbacks, etc.

Never heard of Red Canyon. It’s honestly been so long I can’t remember for sure if the trail got right anywhere. I ran it with @Prayn4surf years ago before either of us were extremely confident. There is a climb at one point but nothing you can’t do. Especially if you’re 4x. I ran it in 2wd. We did get a lot of rain though so it could be a good experience for your group. Worst case, you turn around.
