I bought a yeti 40, on sale, and dividend for $150 from REI.
They live up to the hype but I wouldn't pay $300 for it.

I just want a soft side one to take my food to work. But thanks for the tip.

I have an RTIC hard side and soft side and both work extremely well. The hard side is heavier than hell though it will keep birds cold for a week to 10 days. Which cooler do you have? I actually have 2 soft sides and the thinnest is only good for a day or so. More of a lunch type cooler.

I have the 45 in hard side, at times wish I would have got a larger one. But it is heavy enough as it is. Make sure you pre chill and don't use ice, use ice packs.

I bought the Walmart cooler and it works pretty good. The trick is to precool it. I can start with a hot cooler on Monday morning, ice it before I leave the office, drain the water and re-ice it Tuesday morning and then I'm usually good till Friday afternoon and probably Saturday. That's a 36 bottle case of water and 40 lbs of ice Monday to start then 20 to keep it Tuesday morning. If I drain the water on Thursday and re-ice again, it'll have ice in the bottles. The caps will freeze on the inside. Is it 10 days? No. But they are leaps and bounds above the old chests. Plus they are tougher than the old style. The old style I'll go through 40 lbs per day.

You may also try wrapping the chest in a blanket.

I added a Pelican 20 to the collection. Needed something that would hold standing wine bottles. Thinking the Pelican is just as good as the others.

I just looked them up. Those look pretty good. If I make another trip out there I want to get a better look. Probably won't go again for a few months (if we do).
