Man, it amazes me how many people have the time to sit here and watch this thread just to get a limited release. Living in the woods with limited cell service screwed me again. Anyone want to sell me their pax side cover they took off? That's really the only reason I want these lights.

.. sorry, I wanna comment but I keep getting distracted because this bright light keeps illuminating the ground by my truck whenever I press the lock/unlock button. :p

@MESO or anyone else that may know. I'm not great at wiring but how hard would it be to also add a switch to turn these on anytime you wanted along with the auto on with the doors? Is it as simple as running a power wire from a switch(Switch Pro in my setup) into the power wire in the harness for the puddle lights?

Lights rest at 12v+ and are triggered by the dome lights pulsed ground signal. You'd have to run a switched ground wire to the setup. Wouldn't be able to use with switchpro without switching the polarity via a relay.

I do plan on doing this to mine when I get it in, in conjunction with my mod/rock lights.

Open it. Assemble the LEDs in the right orientation, make sure all the wiring is there, no loose pins.

Cool thanks for the tip! I guess it gives me time to study the install and new tips if anyone has any for an easier install.

I agree. Although rare, I have missed a part or 2 in a box before(believe it or not!)
I would just do a dry mockup on your kitchen table. Assemble the LED's into the pods with included hardware, connect all the wires, and plug into the T harness, etc.
You can eve pop the A-pillar off(1 bolt) and plug the entire system in just to see how it functions. Good luck!

Just finished installing mine. Pretty easy and straight forward, took about an hour and a half, and thats with me routing the harness like OEM. Little bit of advice, purchase a mechanics claw like the one pictured below, and there will be no need to cut the plastic door shroud or remove the panel under the steering wheel.

You don’t have to remove the speaker. Just pull back the plastic sheeting and stick it back.

I did that as well so I can run the puddle light harness with the OEM harness and zip tie it.

From years of tinkering and fixing up cars, I've never been a fan of removing the plastic door shroud, never goes back the same way, and the adhesive just gets messy.

The vapor barrier "glue" sucks in the heat. I wouldn't have pulled it if I wasn't doing sound dampening. Pulling the speaker is a much simpler solution, (which is why I recommended it).

I second this. Had ZERO issue removing speaker, definitely recommended.

I’ve been debating on hooking my added bed LED bed lights to this line. It would be pretty neat to walk up to my truck and the bed lights come on..

@MESO will these puddle lights work on a 5th gen runner?
