I became a member here to learn more about the Tacoma in effort to help my Son get the BEST truck for his needs after graduating College. He ended up with a Cement DCLB 2018 Tacoma OR Premium/Tech...and there were some upgrades before he received it.

The hardest decision though was the Rock Sliders. There are not a lot of DCLB distributors, they all have a lead time of 6 weeks to 6 months and you can't just go to one place to compare them all side-by-side. In the end I chose https://sdhqoffroad.com/collections...oyota-tacoma-long-bed-sdhq-built-rock-sliders with fwd and aft mounting points (5 total), extended length "without over hang" and the build quality they use. It is my opinion you will not find better. Thanks.

Being a Mechanic, I told him function BEFORE form...but yea, he likes the wrapping too. One of these days he'll sign on here himself.

Thank you for posting - exactly what I had been searching for to no avail.

A little pricier than I hoped, but still worth it provided they are strong and built well.

FWIW, there was a small TacomaWorld discount. You will not go wrong with these. While they are expensive, I wrote the cost off to the first "oh-shit" without. That's not a cheap area to fix at your local body shop either. ;)

Jeez, when I graduated college I bought a 3 year old Corolla with 50k miles. Good looking truck. You must be a proud father!

Killer sliders, been eyeing them for a long time. Just wish they weren't so damn expensive.

For $1300 they ought to put them on the truck for you.

WoW! That is just for bare metal! Guess myself being a poor man I just don't see the need for such things.

While I have no need to justify, this was a well thought out, deliberate, balanced and purpose built vehicle. My Son works and lives in what most of you just play in...so these sliders are an investment against the probable...not the possible. While there were other quality sliders I considered, these to fit the need best. As to cost...really...on TacomaWorld? o_O

I've lived in the mountains with a Pre-Runner & no armor so it can be done. I've almost slid into some ish, but always stopped before hurting anything

$1300? SDHQ is proud of their shit. You could’ve gotten sliders and skids from RCI for only 300 more and they are just as high of quality. To each their own though. Great looking truck.

Thanks, and for the record...I did install RCI's 3 main skids.

    Thanks, he earned it.
