Question...the instructions state that we must combine pins 12 and 25 to get the aux input on screen. However, pictures of the actual toyota harness show that pin 12 is empty.

    What am I missing?

    OP:

So I'm looking to buy the plug and play kit, that I understand another member was offering.

Am I correct that you feel he's stolen your intellectual property?

If so, are you offering a plug and play kit (IE - no splicing/soldering) to members here?

If not, there's no monetary gain on your side (unless Amazon link monetization??), and you're just sharing your idea to TW members, what is the issue with another seller making a convenient, complete plug and play bundle available to members?

Any clarity you can provide would be much appreciated!

I am curious to know if you received permission from any of the companies that are making this type of product also that had theirs for sale prior to yours? Wouldn't that mean you are committing Intellectual theft of their product without their permission?

Hi. I installed the harness and did the jumpers as per drawing but my truck thinks it has the e brake engaged when I'm moving. Have someone had this problem? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like he used rubber caps (orange) to make the stock radio knobs more useful.

I am lost. I searched for a bypass for the navigation system and found a thread I liked on my work computer. I thought I found @Hoangde selling a cable but now that I am home I cannot retrace my steps. Can someone steer me in the correct direction for a work around to enable the navigation system override.

    Thanks

Either cut pin 17 on the 28 pin connector or put a switch inline with pin 17.

Adding a switch and a relay to a connector isn't Intellectual Property, OP.

Now, if you made a kit and gave it a name, you can claim Trademark and shout "PRIOR ART" in a courtroom, but the judge will give you a sad look and shake his head.

However, if you slap a video switching chip onto a circuit board, tie it to an ATtiny or PIC mcu and program that mcu to recognize existing button taps like Germes Lab did, then add six phono jacks for rear, front, bed, rear seat, upskirt, and "Ox", that would be real IP because it's not easy or obvious.

If anyone is interested in something like that, I'll prototype it and upload the PCB, code, and BoM.

(edit: and declare it Open Source because this is the obvious next step)

so looking at your schematic, are pins 12 and 24 the video feeds from the oem backup camera? i'm trying to figure out how to mod in just a simple male rca connector onto the video wires coming from the oem backup cam.

would 12 go to the center pin of an rca connector and 24 to the outer ring?
