Going back to the original intent of the thread ("free" mods)... Driving around during the summer, I frequently have the sunroof, rear window, and some combination of the 4 door windows open. To close them I have to hit 6 switches in 3 distinct locations. Would be nice to have a "close all" button or maybe make it if you hold the driver's window button for 3 or so seconds that it happens. Right now it is kind of cool though because I feel like a fighter pilot reaching around the cabin flipping switches and stuff...

Would love a push button in the manual also. They have it in the 86s, it is possible Toyota! Also, as someone else said, manual in a DCLB configuration.

As for CP (and AA), coming in 2020 of course!

Nope, please keep the key in my manual. Won’t cost yota a dime and won’t cost me a bundle when the electronics freak out.

Maybe wouldn’t cost them anything to engineer a volume knob that keeps your hand from touch the screen. That pisses me off.

Let Lexus make a tech. marvel truck, we bought into Toyota for reliability and performance engines have traditionally been their worst for that.

IMHO the reason the key is still used is to work in conjunction with the clutch cancel switch, I suppose they could try to fool around to make that switch work with it though.

I'd just like the tune on the manuals to make it run like a normal truck. I'm gonna end up getting T-Boned in this weak piece of shit.

Yes, even my humble Fiat Spider has manual transmission and push-button start.

    It isn’t rocket science.

The clutch cancel switch allows you to put the truck in gear and ride the starter out of a hairy situation, I believe that is why the key is still used.

Seriously, if I need to move, I’ll just keep it in first longer. Get the rpms up and it goes.

Change the center console better design layout and put the parking brake back on the floor like the second gens With the parking brake on the floor you can make the console a bit bigger for more storage

I kinda liked that they moved the handbrake to the console from the dash like in 1st and 2nd Gens.

    1. Volume knob that sticks out far enough so that I don’t bump the bottom preset every time I adjust the volume.

    2. A reverse gear that is about 25% the speed that it currently is so that I don’t have to take 3 years off my clutch every time I back into my garage

I took me about a year to adjust to it being in the console, I kept punching the dash with my right hand trying to reach for it, lol.

Right, and that works, long as you arent rolling slightly, and really get on it. Then it barely comes off idle (even at 3/4 to full throttle) then at 3k shoots to the moon, bogs at 4500rpm, and then shoots up to the rev limiter. If you don't get ran over by the time it starts pulling, then yeah no problem.

When I need to go, I don’t shift till after 4 and don’t have any issues. Other than when the truck is cold and it sometimes doesn’t like 2nd unless I have cranked it in first.

Been there, but dont miss the punch the dash to use e brake. If I had an auto, I would give a crap where the brake was, but using it all the time, I like where it is.
