Ford is dead to me too. Ford Corp screwed me three times on new vehicles, 1991 F150 (which is why I switched to Toyota), I gave them another chance on the 2014 Mustang GT Premium Track Pack and one final chance on the 2016 GT350. So when I think of Ford I think, "I got Fucked Over Royally Dude" is what Ford stands for.

Splitting hairs here, but Chevy actually left the market 2013-2014 and Nissan has pretty much abandoned it with an unchanged Frontier since 2005, but get your point. My first truck was a 2001 Ranger in high school, loved that damn thing.

I don't get the Ford hate, my mom's 2013 Explorer was flawless, ecoboost, comfortable, well appointed and never an issue. My 2 rangers in high school were great too, last one made it to 210k without an issue besides the pulleys needing replaced every so often (known issue). My Dad is on his 2nd Raptor which has been flawless too, he paid $48k for it new in 2014 and got $43k for it at trade in with 60k miles on it last year for his 2018 (talk about resale). The blind brand loyalty in here is ridiculous sometimes.

The "blind loyalty" is precisely why Tacoma needs an $800 Tune to run somewhat normally. It's why Tacoma still uses drum brakes ( the arguments for are ridiculous) IT is why it took till 2020 to even get power seats!!! (but only for the driver) I can't wait to see the drivetrain in the redesign. Not holding my breath. It's why Toyota does not have a factory locking power tailgate, or 8" screen with both Android Auto and Car Play, or a deeper bed, or gas shocks on the hood, or a refined interior with two power seats. And especially a phenomenal economical drive train that will pin one back in the seat,..On and on. AS long as people buy mediocre trucks, Toyota won't do much.

Not worried at all regarding Ford's reliability. It has to last three years and I'm off to a new truck.

If you knew what Ford Corp did to me, you would feel the same way.

I just looked at the Ford Ranger prices on Autotrader. No f**king way would I pay $55k for a Ranger. That just made my PRO really get cheap. That is truly insane for a POS Ford.

A Fiat's probably good for 3 years, too.

Not wanting to buy another truck for a very long time is precisely why I bought a Tacoma. I wouldn't want to hang onto a small turbocharged fourbanger from Ford, either.

There were several for $60k+ and a whole lot for $50k+. Did you even look at this list?

Of course they are marked up and that's the same thing they did for the GT350 and they sell them at that price. Where have you been?

Ford Corp allows this and they should be sued for it.

Rangers? No, marked up Tacomas ya, no marked up rangers here, that’s insane.

And a GT350 is a limited production car not a mass produced ranger. And I’ve been right here in AZ where there are not any marked up rangers bud...

I bought a Tacoma because of the reliability coupled with off road ability, but primarily the reliability. That’s why I’ve been driving Toyota’s pretty much my entire adult life. And why it is my favorite car company. I tend to drive my cars until the wheels fall off and that is important to me.

Having said that; Holding a grudge against any company because of the vehicles they choose to make is - in the simplest terms I can think of - retarded.

One owner. An elderly man who passed and a family who had no use. Checks out to me and 2 months in the truck is great!
