I have some of the residue in mine too. Had them close to 2 years. The only time I ever notice it is when I am washing my taillights. Otherwise I never get close enough to notice it. I paid $180 when they first came out. Still not complaining about it. Look fine from 2' away.

Well I got them off of Amazon so it should be no problem. The glue is super noticeable on the black even at 2+ feet away, can’t do it!

Wow the depo tails you got were bad, the ones I gotten for my Dad had clean seals that were straight, only thing is the sealant is white so if you walk up like a foot away and really look you can see it. I guess its it or miss

All depends on perspective. The materials I hauled on top would have been difficult to fit in a full size truck, other than with true long beds of 8'.

I do not want or need a full size truck, as I do not tow or haul with high frequency (as in weekly or at least several times a month). On the rare occasion I have larger items, the cover I have allows for transporting them on top of the bed. Extremely heavy or long items can be towed with a trailer otherwise.

These trucks were not made for towing or hauling in comparison to full size trucks, though they can hold their own just fine for most people in both regards. The size and capability are great overall.

It’s not glue. The front clear lens and the back housing get sonically welded together. What you are seeing is the remnants where the plastic melted together. Even the stock has this if you look closely. It’s harder to see on the TRD red tail lights(it’s there). Depo are good quality, they just might seal them a little different that stock which is why it’s more noticeable.
