I've got a 2011 4 door V6 4wd Tacoma that just developed the problem of power door locks and the door activated dome light not working. For the record the remote won't work the locks either. Both problems started at the same time. I've checked the fuses. Is there some relay that happens to work both of these/

Does the dome light go on when you open the door?

No the dome light does not come on when the door is reopened. The door locks do not work with either the drivers or passengers switch. Remote doesn't work either. This just started all at once. Problem is in the truck; not the remote.

Do you have anything else going on? Radio, gauges failing? It really sounds like a fuse. I'd grab an assortment of fuses and start replacing the proper interior fuses one at a time, not pulling and looking at them. The micro blade fuses can appear fine visually but be shot. Also, it could be the little door pads that are on the door jams. Those black rubber buttons that alert the car that your doors are open.

Did you just install anything recently like a radio or the remote starter?

I hate electrical gremlins. Hope they didn't start residing in your truck.

Do you have an LED light installed in the dome light?
I put one in mine and it affected the remote power lock/unlock functions due to it being on the same multiplexor... was really frustrating.

No other issues. I have not installed or removed anything in this truck. I've test lighted ALL the fuses without removing them and I have current on both sides of every fuse. My question is there something that controls both the locks and the dome light past the fuses? A relay? These 2 issues started EXACTLY the same time which leads me to believe they are related somehow.

is under the cubby door on the lower extreme left hand side of the dash. yank
off that cubby check the connectors right behind there
(they are all tight in here, hard to pop and reinstall them

the connector marked with the arrow is the one you gotta check [pull and pop back in]

I am having the Same problem on my 2017
Dome lights mirror for garage and remote unlock lock don’t work when car is off.
Dome lights and door only work when ignition is on. This happened all of a sudden. Any suggestions? I looked at every fuse but didn’t see one that was burned out. Any fuses I should check again? Or is it something else?

Check the fuses with a meter or test light. It is hard to see sometimes with just your eye.

The fuse would be the DR LCK Fuse, 20 Amp. It is in the fuse panel behind the cubby to the left of the steering wheel.
