209 Tacos: "Mod Day"

Just bought a brand new set of 265/75/16s before realizing I'd need to upgrade the suspension. Hoping they don't look small after we throw this lift on.

@foxrcing07 think you'd be available to be so kind as to allow me to come procure a certain spring compressor to assemble this fine gentleman's shocks/springs?

 

They won't look too small. Lot's of people run 265s with a lift.

 

265/75 is a good size. I mean, its nearly a 32". Next set you'll want to go slightly taller. Not sure how the trails are out here, but I enjoyed the 255/85s I used to have. They worked well for the trails in the NW

 

@CalTacoma09 runs 255s and likes them. I think @Sharkfrog is running 255s too

Everything went great... Only sketchy spot was our rachet strap jerry rig job on the spring compressor for Adam's front shocks... Larry and I had it well under control.

Good times today. Thanks @Uphillshunter for taking us on such a nice drive. We hit it all, water crossings, snow, mud, trees. Oh yeah, there was minor contact with some vegetation.

 

I warned Melissa before the single track that it was going to sound bad and it did.

 

Yes... It did. Almost ripped one if my ditch light covers off.

We need to have another Mod Day just to buff everyone's truck out.

But I said going in... if anyone isn't comfortable with an obstical speak up and we will all turn around... I remember sayin that.

 

Everyone said that they bought their trucks to use them as they were intended.

 

Right on... still good with makin a truck beautification Mod Day at my place.

I think I’ll be leaving all my trail rash on, I’ve earned them and have to wear them proudBut i think I’m able to remove 90% of the pinstriping with a quick buff.

 

Yep. I have a few that got through the clear coat. I'm not too worried. I have to say that the cement color is great for hiding dirt and light scratches. That was a great day of fun, it was good to blaze trails with you. We need to do it again soon.
