For those interested, I had the 3 year service for my four layered 9H Ceramic Pro. It’s still doing awesome and in great shape.

Is it expensive? Yes, unless you have a friend that’s certified. Is it worth it? For what it cost me it is. It makes cleaning and protection so much easier.

I know there are other brands, but I love this stuff. I also applied it to the Volk wheels I’ll install on Monday, so I can’t wait for that.

    Stay shiny my friends!

Had it done last year on my 2018 tacoma the truck is black only complaint is water spots that dry after it rains if I don’t get water off it leaves the spots baked on love the finish but would not recommend for black vehicles also read fine print on warranty does not cover water spots

A grand for full paint correction, life time warranty and a refresh detail every 6 months. The materials were $750 at that time, so labor was $250 initially, but I get a free detail and refresh every 6 months for as long as I own the truck.

The materials have gone down to $500 currently for his cost wholesale. I'm not saying it's cheap, but he cut me a really square deal. Plus he's a friend and I like to help my buddies out and trust him very much.

Had 6 coats put on they had truck for 3 days I just think it something with black paint took it back first time they told me I was parking under a tree called ceramic pro they got involved the installer fixed problem they told me don’t bring truck back they were not going to fix as do to my neglect so a lifetime warranty does not help me so ever time it rains I have to go out with a leaf blower and blow dry my neighbors think I’m a nut job so now when I get the spots started using car pro water spot remover it works but has to be done with in 72 hrs.

That’s not cool. Dealer sounds like a doofus. Sorry you had that trouble!

My new wheels are gloss black, so we shall see how that goes with them.

    Hello
Fellow SW MO Tacoma owner I recognize that dumpster! Lol, I was thinking of doing the ceramic coat since I know a guy too. Sounds like it’s worth it.

It’s like a condom for a truck. It’s not 100% but better odds than not.

Brian is right about the water spots. You are going to have them unless you blow them off. The only thing I know to do is to make it as slippery as possible so that as much water as possible can run off = less spots. Brian, you are not the only one whose neighbors think we are nuts: I'm out there with a backpack leafblower, standing on a ladder.

More slippery? How? That is where the Gliss comes in. You think it is slick after a ceramic coating? Try rubbing your hand across it after a coating of Gliss. Comparatively it seems as the ceramic coating feels like the paint BEFORE you clay-barred it. Gliss is that slick. I have resigned myself that I'm going to use Reload every time I wash it. You are going to have to wash it anyway, so WHY NOT supplement the ceramic coating every chance you have?

After I wash and use leaf blower I have been using car pro elixir do you suggest using reload instead and from reading reviews it sounds like you can get a hazing effect if put on to heavy what’s you4 thoughts

I no longer blow dry I just use Echo as a drying aid now.

One thing I didn’t like about reload was the application. Lots of people in the community make their own Carpro “Elixir” as its the reason that product was even made. 2oz reload, 2oz carpro echo, I’m still toying with the ratio of Hydro2 so I’ve only been putting an 1oz and top it off with distilled water until 32oz.

You can play with the ratios and make what you like.

Yea car is wet. It takes 2 MF towels in my process. The car is washed and clean with Carpro reset. 1 MF is used around the whole car and spray echo (1:20 or 1:40) depends on you 1/20 is my detail spray and 1/40 is a claybar dilution ratio. I’m pretty generous cuz honestly it’s cheap to make. Then I come back with a new MF towel and use my version of Carpro elixir but use it sparingly. Other option is use a application pad and then buff off.
