Will Toyota ever build a bigger torque engine?

Just reading about the 3.0 ecoboost in the Ford explorer...365 hp and 380lbs of torque....nobody would ever want a motor like that in a Tacoma, never

 

Does Ford even make a 3.0 Eco-boost, I thought it went from 2.7 to 3.5?

 

They do. It's 3.0 litre turbocharged and gets 365 hp with 380ftlbs of torque. Just Google 2020 Ford explorer platinum

my guess is that they are going to axe the corporate V8 entirely.

The lexus Fsport models are going to get the 3.5 Turbo in their next model years.

The Tundra will get the 3.5 turbo and 3.5 hybrid (same with landcruiser, LX and sequoia)

The Tacoma will get the Corporate I4 turbo and maybe the Corporate V6 hybrid.


Mike sweers was asked if they were going to drop the corporate V8 and he couldn't give a straight answer.

 

Are you just trying to see how many times you can use the word corporate in a post?
