Wow, that is tiny. I think my first apartment after high school was about that size, lol.

This one meets my parameters nicely with cash in my pocket to potentially increase the floor space of the garage, but I really didn't want to go that far North of Tampa...

It's a little more house than I need and there's not much room for expanding the garage, but the plus is it's closer to Tampa and it has public sewer and water, and still leaves some cash in my pocket.

 

Those are great although i hear spring Hill is hit or miss with those sink holes but one things for sure we need to leave Miami it’s just not the same down here anymore. Plus there’s no nature trails here every thing is being developed due to greedy politicians and investors

 

Yeah that was also something I was worried about with the Spring Hill house. If the darn thing was just in Lutz it would be perfect, lol. The NPR house is a bit closer to the coast than I'd like. I'd be worried about hurricanes and flooding. I was mainly just considering it, but unless someone offers me an obscene amount of money for this place, inertia will probably keep me here.

Probably not this block just want to get it back up and running for now I spoke with lce and with the .30 over forged Pistons i was going to get the compression would be to low for na and I'm not sure when I would turbo it so when I get ready to turbo I'll buy the forged Pistons and build my other block so I can just swap them out at that point I'll probably do a stand alone to make it more tunable

 

Well, the Tacoma is gone. Moved up to a 4Runner.

 

Lee, for $186k, you can get one hell of a piece of land and build a quite nice facility. I’ve been considering building a “bardominium” like my dad built. He’s got a 5000 square foot metal building with a 2 bedroom apartment on the second level. Cost him around $80k to
do the whole thing.

 

im on the East coast of FL. when i buy a house (hopefully next year) im def getting a 3 car garage, one garage for my girl and 2 garage for me

Id loveeee to do a big barn thing and have a lift, tools, welding area, etc. ughhhh

 

My only setback is my wife refusing to live in a barn. She doesn’t get it.

I was thinking about that too, but even land is pretty scarce around Tampa.

 

I have to correct myself. When I looked for land, I guess it wasn't showing stuff outside the city limits. There does seem to be several pieces of decent looking land around. It's something to consider. The garage would definitely end up being bigger than the living area, haha.

 

Sounds like proper priorities to me.

A couple of years ago I found what I consider to be the perfect piece of real estate (aside from being in Montana). 3BR, 2BA on 10 acres (every picture showed nothing but mountains in the background, no homes/neighbors). Built on the side of a hill, so the entire "basement" was actually a garage/workshop. Also had a barn that was set up as a garage and workshop with another workshop on property. The only deal breaker was it was about 5 miles from the nearest maintained road, so flying for work in the winter could present a challenge.

Oh, and it was selling for $110k. I think the listing was only up for a week...

Good to hear. That's who I'm going to order my rebuild kit for my 5VZ from. Won't be for a while, since I'm going to try replacing the rod bearings first as a stop-gap, but I think the time I cooked the motor leaving Richloam last June is the cause of it's current sorry state. Probably means the rings are fried as well. Just have to take Timbo's T4R 5VZ apart and see what the machine shop says about whether I'd need +.020 or +.030 pistons.

 

I didn't Know you where having issues with yours what have you got a ride knock or blowby going on. I can't recommend lce enough they where knowledgeable and answered every question I had.
