Pfft, send the shop a couple a couple xtra lrg party pizza's on a Wednesday. Extra pepperoni (fvck the vegetarians).

 

A lot of it has to do with how you act when you show up. If you roll up and immediately request that someone needs to check your trans fluid, or say I need TSB xxx done to my truck, then you will be treated accordingly.

If you drive up and show concern of a certain issue and let them determine if TSB xxx needs to be done or politley suggest you have a concern of low trans fluid, then you will be treated accordingly.
Along with that, if you do bring a box of donuts or as suggested above, send pizza, or even maybe buy them a beer, they will continue to treat you in a very satisfactory manner. Surveys also help the situation. If you nail them on a survey you will be remembered. If you don't do the survey at all you will be dropped down on their priority list because they know they do not have to go out of their way to satisfy you because you won't do the survey anyway. If you give them good marks they will invest more time on your next visit because a lot of their bonuses are based on survey points.

Just in case you didn't know, when surveys do come back, the service manager does see the customers name.

I have never once gotten a survey. I get a postcard everytime telling me I'ma get one, but I never do.
