Just enough rain and construction dust to cause my OCD to act up. Quick work with the power washer.

 

Installed the third rail in the front of the bed. Now I just need to make sure I don't accidentally touch it.

Seen these mag straps in this thread and they put them on the carpet next to the ebrake/shifter center console. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a flat or straight area so I decided to put them in the center console. That and I didn’t like the trays ppl use for the center console either.


I’m going to buy the blue seas 4.8 dual usb socket and replace the stock 12v cig outlet and get rid of that Belkin clutter.

Quite a while back @RallySOP mentioned that someone needs to make an adaptor for the shift boot ring for the guys who want to run different shift knobs.



This is the first prototype. A question for you guys... Does it sit low enough? As of now, it leaves 1-9/16" to the top of the threads exposed. It would work great for the FJ knob but it might need to be lower for others.

It would be easy to open up the top hole more so it would sit lower since the shifter is tapered which keeps the boot from falling down once this is installed.

 

Wheels are fuel couplers 18” +1 offset
Tires are nitro ridge grapplers 285x65x18

Got the Great American Flag installed. They are in the first pic as well just a ghost with the angle.

 

Roped my wife in to help me with the speaker upgrade. She handled the sound proofing.







Started at 13:00, finished at 17:30, with an hour to go to Home Depot and snacks. Wife spent about 2.5 hours on the sound proofing. All in all it was an easy but time consuming process. My wife is good with this type of stuff, which helped a lot.

ETA: I still have over half a box of soundproofing material, so enough for another truck. If you are in the lower mainland, I will give it away for good karma to someone else doing the upgrade.

 

What do you consider the lower mainland and would you ship on my dime

 

Does the tire rub on the front mud guard at full lock turn?

 

Did you do the back wall?

6 months after sound deadening and speaker upgrades I am going to do the back wall. The noise back there drives me nuts now
