Weather is getting nasty..





Looks like I may be heading back to work. Here shortly.

 

Heard about a few tornadoes in my parts today.

 

A Honda EU2000 genny and a portable AC unit. Would be as popular as the firepit in the winter

 

Radio is too loud. I can't hear the generator.

 

Or is that the plague spreading from LA?

Great c&c followed by a great range day! Got home and promptly dozed off in the recliner. Those foam earplugs gave me one hell of a headache. Worth it for the comradery. Thanks to all that attended, it was great spending live time joking around in addition to online.

 

When I got home, my dog had chewed the wire on my ear pro, destroying them. I need new electronic ear pro now.

 

Bad dog! Time to go shopping.

 

They were Howard Leights Sports. Do I buy the same or start looking at the Gucci stuff? Decisions....

 

Avoid the operator ear pro, it doesn’t offer any protection. You might find something lower profile with the same protection, worth at least looking.

 

I was happy with the Howard Leights. I used MSA Sordins and they were phenomenal, but $400 on the civvie market.

 

The Howard leights for me didn't seem to provide any protection once I put glasses of any sort on.

 

Mine were fine, but if I was shooting really loud, big-bore stuff i would double up on ear-pro. Only ran into that with magnum rifle calibers

 

OK, and OFF to COTA for C&C we go!
Thanks to @exportexp for the great homemade Tacos, and @Pyrotech and myself for some readymade! We seemed to have enough, and THANK YOU to everyone that brought and shared your water! More popular than road sodas today!
I think the heat scared a few folks off, and definitely prevented the trucks from the typical side by side that we always get a picture of, but I think I got (almost) everyone individually - I will get the "event" and groups here, and post another with the individuals, if you don't mind!

@Beretta4x4 , who among other things traveled more miles that anyone this week for TTC SATX, to Triple C to support a brother, and ATX C&C, along with some gun range fun! Congrats, and it was truly nice to finally meet you this weekend my longtime friend!



And, I am closing this out, because we are getting pummeled, and the sunroom is having rain pushed into it, where it never have before! I will take it up later, because the computer is wet.

 

It was a great weekend! Glad to spend it with everyone!
