    Beautiful but nope, nope, nope. Fear of heights plus catchy knees and ankles keep me to more mundane territory.
    I climbed Black Butte here in MT last summer and thought the whole time that I was gonna slip and die. 10,546' ...about a quarter mile being on a narrow ledge of loose scree that I ended up scooting down on my butt because I kept slipping while I was standing up... it was beautiful from the top but I'll never go back up there ever again.

    This how we descended the glacier from Mt Ritter !!! , it's a technique called Glissading . We took our back packs off and wrapped a ground cover over it and sat on our packs . It took just a couple minutes to slide the 1k ft and was fun

    Great example of how the Blue Ridge Parkway got the name! Asheville, NC had more allergist per person than any other place in the US when I lived there. That blue is haze from all the diverse vegetation and forest understory. And pollen. Beautiful pic, you done good :)

    Snakes are in the rocks at night, scorpions leave you alone and tarantulas are mainly harmless.

    Bison and wolves have trouble climbing the ladder to the RTT so they're no trouble. Bears will take the easy ground buffet before they venture up my way.

    Honestly....never seen a wild wolf within a mile of any human. they're pretty elusive. Bison wander through camp on the regular but the stupid foreign tourists taking selfies with them are usually enough of a distraction that they never bother any of us seasoned campers. and bears....yeah, they're out there but i'm as careful as i can be.

    A friend of mine showed me some good pictures of wolves in Idaho. He said they are pretty skittish but they come within 500 yards of the camp. I think it depends alot on how much pressure is being put on them. He said it's mostly timber land, not much livestock. He said coyotes are more brave. I've seen coyotes walk through the LTVA's hunting dogs and cat hanging close to the rv's.

    yup. one got into Runner a couple years back. I came home, cleared everything out of runner except the weathertech floor mats and the owners manual...washed everything down and set traps. never caught anything and never saw any sign of one hanging around. not sure how it got in but it cleared out in a hurry and I've never had a problem sense. I was ready to drop Runner at the dealer and drive home in something new if the problem had persisted!
