My 2015 had a pinging (spark knock) problem that occurred under light acceleration at about 2000rpm on 87 octane fuel.

The pinging started a while ago and although mild, it was enough to trigger my OCD and because I'm a cheap c*nt throwing higher octane fuel wasn't going to be an option (also because that's not a real fix)

There is a TSB from Mr.T for the 2012-2014's which includes a re-flash to stop pinging...which was great for them but didn't help me one bit.

I'm at 70,000kms so plugs were due. Old plug gaps were around .050-.065
In went some Iridium Denso's, (gapped from factory and double checked at .036)
    -no more Pinging.

Perhaps 2015's are less tolerant to stretching plug service intervals. I could have re-gapped the OEM plugs I suppose but that is beyond even my level of cheapness. Anyway, easy fix and I hope it helps someone else.

I ran my originals to 60K on my 15 4.0L with no ping on 87 octane. Try some fuel system cleaner like redline SL1 or Amsoil PI. Something with high p.e.a.

So the fix is to do a timely tune up and replace the plugs?

Not entirely sure the OP has the V6 but he is saying to use the iridium plugs instead of what came factory.

I dought it. Changing to a plug that isn’t designed for the engine isn’t going to fix the issue. I would gone with copper plugs.
