what change would u tell toyota to make /cost free

The Dealer changed the number of blinks for me, the factory default is 3 blinks but if memory serves me you can pick from 3, 5, or 6.

Can the blinks be changed via the Entune system? Have a vague memory of that.

 

I think it has to be done with that Carista or something similar

 

Let SiriusXM record on 6 channels so every song starts at the beginning when you change channels.... Just like every single other radio in the world does except Toyota for some reason.

 

That would be ass backwards to me. Why would you want a push button next to your AC on/off button? And not even close to the steering wheel.

Nothing is free they would just add it onto the price of the truck at the get go or swap out something else to make their margins..

 

Something I thought of a couple years ago. Since a lot
of us use dash cams, add a usb always powered port in the
roof console. I don't really want to run a wire to power so
I have the power cable hanging down and plugged into
the cig lighter which of course is not powered when truck
is off. Has anyone done something up there to have power to
their cams all the time?

 

Does anyone else feel like a barbarian letting the gas cap just dangle along side the truck during fill-ups? Every other car I've dealt with in recent memory has the little "cradle" on the inside of the filler lid.

This couldn't cost much of anything.

It amazes me how many people miss the factory holder.

 

That is the clip that holds the gas door in place. I don't know if they actually intended it as a "holder" of the gas cap like in the picture or it's just a coincidence that it happens to fit there (kinda). It is tenuous at best doing that and can get knocked out easily and then swing down and wack your truck. Even my wife's Corolla has a bracket/cradle to put the cap in while you are filling up.

 

There is even a little bend in the cable to fit securely in the clip, been hanging it in there since 2008 with my old 2nd Gens.

 

I'm not denying that it works (it's what I do too) and that might even have been the intention, just that it is a horrible implementation and there are tons of examples of better ones, even on other Toyota vehicles.

 

They can remove the accumulator on the clutch so when i tell it to engage, it actually engages.

They could also raise the gas pedal so rev matching is possible.

 

The compass always shows north at the top. It should show the actual direction I'm driving in, so I don't have to brain which way east and west is.

Also, while I find the fact that the reverse camera indicators remain static kind of a fun game, they probably should've indicated the angle of turn.

 

Why doesnt everyone just shove the gas cap in the gas pump handle? Especially if you live in a state where the pumps dont have the lock, the gas cap just so happens to fit perfectly to keep the pump going. Its 2019 and they all shut off by regulation so theres no excuse of overflow. Boom. Or you can spend $30 to have the MESO guy 3d print you one.

 

Still not sure what the clutch issue is that the accumulator fixes, but I'm going to go with "ignorance is bliss" on it and try not to think about it since I don't really have a problem with it.

I do agree on the gas pedal though. Had just learned how to heel-toe on my previous vehicle and now can't do it because the pedals are too far apart on the Tacoma (or maybe my feet aren't big enough).
