I've had them checking out Runner as well...
I was camped in a remote area and just hanging out when I heard the pitter patter of little feet on metal. Turned around just in time to see one jump out of the wheel well. And back in he went a minute later. So I went over and popped the hood, left it open.
Forest Service Ranger came through, patrolling the area for bear country violations and such. He stopped to make sure everything was OK with me and that I wasn't having car trouble  I told him everything was fine and I was just trying to make my engine compartment seem less hospitable to the critters.

Smart move. I swear when I started my truck on a fairly cool day I heard what sounded like my fan hitting something. Shut down and look and see signs of nesting of some kind. Two days of not using that truck is long enough.
    not the first time either.

I remember my dad relocating a whole nest of babies that had nested next to the battery in our truck while out camping one time. He scooped them up in a coffee can and set them out where mom could come and find them. Every trip after that we had the start of another nest being made in the truck - no matter where we were! It was like a little chipmunk hotel. Didn't want that happening with Runner!

You ever eat at Joe’s Pasty Shop? We’ve been twice and thought the pasty's were great. Can’t get food like that here in Los Angeles.

I was born my dads son.... He knew how to keep making your wealth multiply instead of dividing. I set up a cash lease program with a successful farmer from the area. That pays all the taxes, and leaves the 4 of us with an income that's MORE than enough to live on. Plus we still have the property. My sisters want to cash out. After all the taxes, legal fee's, real estate agents, etc, we would get (each) less than 4 years of the income from the lease. Then it's gone.... Dad is spinning....

Our family was GIVEN this farm as a land grant for service in the US Army in what was the "Indian Wars" of the early 1800's....Our great great grandparents are buried there.

It's NOT the cash value that makes it valuable.

Agreed on the selling part. Our cabin was my Great Uncle Herman's, passed down to my Grandfather, who in turn passed to his four children, 3 boys one girl. My Aunt has passed so her quarter went to one of her Son's (my cousin). My Grandmother always said the cabin was not about making money, but a place for us all to have reunions, hunt, or just adore God's handiwork. Gram was the best! Anyhow, takes a lot of work to keep it going, many come to hunt and not contribute in the upkeep. I do the majority of the work with Dad slowing down, but don't mind. I will fight to the bitter end if someone tries to change things!
