Hey @CaliRaisedLed and anyone else who can help out:

Bolted on my sliders on Friday. They look great, high quality.

I have an issue where the rear clamp on the drivers side touches the gas tank skid on the rear corner of the clamp. I wheeled it pretty good Saturday and Sunday and it doesn't appear that it is moving around and rubbing the plastic OEM skid.

Should I pull it off and grind the clamp down? There is a gap between the gas tank skid and the gas tank so I don't think it would rub through the tank and cause a leak but that would suck.

Anyone else have this problem? Does the frame near the the tank flex off road or only farther back towards the rear axle? If it does flex does the gas tank move with it as it is attached (not sure how) on that side of the truck?

Also, the backing plates for the 1/2" bolts just bend into the frame holes when you try and torque to 90 ft lbs as suggested when I emailed in. If they were double the thickness you could probably hit 90 but as it stands you can't even hit 60-70.

Thanks! I just took the clamp off and radiused the corner with an angle grinder. It no longer touches the gas tank skid, but I can see where it was carving a groove out of the plastic. Just a warning for other people installing, you might want to be aware of.

The skids are awesome quality, buttery welds and clearly they put a lot of thought into design in order to clearance bolt heads and other obstacles on the frame. The angled rear tube is a great idea and the whole thing looks very strong

I wish they were a touch longer for better protection, 3" front and 6" rear would be ideal, but maybe there is a reason they are the length they are. And the backing plates should be heavier, 1/4" steel would prevent them from bending when trying to reach a good torque number.

Overall I would buy again, highly recommend!

What did you guys do to secure the hard brake lines along the inside of the drivers side frame rail?

I spun the plastic connectors around like suggested but I don't like the way the brake lines are flopping around.

When you spin the plastic connectors around you should be able to push the brake lines back into place.
