Custom LED Map and Dome lights

Buy the VLED puddle lights, a hole saw, put them in roughly the same position without the fancy plastic housing, and wire them into the positive bed light switch? Seems a lot cheaper than $320, though obviously not as slick as MESO's setup.

Edit: or spend $20 on some white xprite LED rock lights and do the same thing, but under the body. At least this is what I did.

If it wasn't such a pain in the butt to take the door apart, I'd add some under the side view mirrors to see the effect versus the VLEDs (which are obviously brighter, but significantly more expensive).

Where are you getting this $320 price?
And a hole saw will work, but the puddle will Not sit flush due to depth limitations. You will have to make some type of spacer to push it out further.

 

I got it. Buying two kits and a hat for the brightness. The math adds up

Complete with wiring, plug in harnesses, leds, and plastic molded housings.

 

Then that's beautiful and a bargain. Sorry for the mix up. And the whole reason I was in this thread to begin with is because I wanted a dome light.

Maybe you were thinking of the total price of the puddles. 2 key fobs. And turn signals. Bc that’s what my total price was on my first order of puddles

Interior reds are from Super bright LEDs. Maps are okay but the 9 LED dome leaves a lot to be desired, hence why I'm in this thread ...

 

Yeah Meso red maps and dome make the interior of my truck look like the bridge of the Red October. I’m happy with it!

That's awesome, I've been waiting for a red dome for sooo soo long, they have been a rare drop. Can't wait for his next drop, I'd say roughly 1.5 to 2 weeks away I believe, from his previous post. I currently have the red maps w/ white dome, but also have a set of white maps if I want to go all white and switch it up.
