I had a HAM in my truck last weekend, the 1st one was a cheap one and it was not good, swapped to a better more $$$ one and it worked good. So even if you get a HAM you need to spend the $$$. But like Trey said get a

Uniden Pro520xl, a lot of people run them and have no issues, I use them in my Tacoma and Samurai.

Make sure they are tuned or they will not last long, any of them

With the HAM hand held I spent more time looking for it than using it.

The cost of another mic is as much as this cb is worth lol. I know it’s just the mic too because the few times I’ve gotten it to come through clear again all I was doing was fidgeting with the mic wire.

 

Electrical is yucky

 

A Good HAM is very clear and much better than CB but most everyone I ride with have CBs. I only need one on the trail and usually the people I need to talk to are within my sight, so range is not an issue but being the only one on a ride with a HAM is a big issue.

 

They are small enough to go about anywhere. I have mine mounted where the ash tray was but I'm a bestgen so

What CB do you have? I’ve got the cheap cobra from Walmart. Mine will probably eventually do what yours is doing.

 

On the radio, they were talking about zero turn's... You need both hands to drive, which limits your beverage intake.

I have an external speaker hooked up on mine and it's the best, makes a world of difference.
