Planning on lifting the front of my truck to get rid of some of the rake. TRD DCSB currently has a single AAL in the rear to counteract shell and other junk but still lifted the back about an inch over stock. I am thinking maybe going about 1.5 inches on the front and keep some rake. I bought a set of spacers (3/4) to give me 1.5 of lift. I will by a new set of coils and shocks when I get the look I want, but figured switching out a few sets of above the coils spacers is a good cheap way to look at different ride heights. My question is how far out is my alignment when I put 1.5 spacers in. Can I get away with driving it for a bit or will it start eating the tires right away. On another note does anyone have pics of a 1.5 - 2 inch front lift with stock wheels (265/70-16). I have searched around but most before after pics, even on this site, show a stock truck then a lifted truck with new shoes as well. Hoping for a few with just stock tire sizes. Thanks

I would do the alignment as soon as you can. I don’t think it’s only a tire eating issue it can also be the way the truck drives, pulling or wheel towed in or out, steering wheel not center.
I mean I’m sure there are thousands of drivers who may unknowingly drive with an improper alignment but I would suggest getting it done. Most car shops range $60-80. Can always call around and get pricing.

No, you can't and yes, it will. It doesn't take long for out of spec toe to ruin a set of tires. But then again I suppose it depends what you consider a ruined tire. Once they start cupping and making noise they are done in my opinion which is exactly what will happen with out of spec toe which you will no doubt have after the lift. This only applies to the front two tires of course as the rear isn't align-able for the most part and won't change after the lift.

Firestone offers lifetime alignments for ~$100 bucks. Lifetime to them means one every 6 months but I’ve had mine done 3 times already from various lifts and changes I’ve made to my suspension. If you use your truck it’s a VERY good deal. Of course like anywhere it depends on the tech doing the alignment but my shop has guys very familiar with lift kits and so it works out well. Just my $.02.

The title of your post, leads one to believe you had some cosmetic surgery or something. Cool!

I could probably use a lift and alignment myself
