clay bar/buff/polish/wax once a year or so

Wash every couple weeks and use Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic wax after each wash

Meguiar’s Last Touch Spray detailer or Optimum No Rinse in between washes when dusty or lightly dirty

at autogeek.com it states the following-
    Directions for use:
    • McKee's 37 Hydro Blue Sio2 coating works best on a vehicle that is well maintained (recently clayed and polished). The smoother the surface, the longer McKee's 37 Hydro Blue will last.
    • Working one panel at a time, on a vehicle that has just been washed and rinsed (but NOT dried), spray McKee's 37 Hydro Blue directly onto the panel and immediately rinse off using a strong jet of water. Continue this process around the entirety of the vehicle.
    • After rinsing, dry as you normally would and start enjoying the benefits of your freshly SiO2 coated paint!
    notice it says clay bar

Missing out. It will help the paint stay cleaner longer once its been clayed.

I'll pass. If my brother would not of talked me into buying a computer back in 2007 I would still be using Turtle Wax liquid wax and rubbing it off with a dish towel.

....and shaving with Bic disposable razors and Barbasol canned goo from Walmart. Thanks to him I have a expensive wet shaving habit now. LOL!

Being a huge Meguiar's fan I had high hopes for Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax. So much I bought 3 bottles of of Amazon about 5-6 months back.
But after using it on both my Taco and the wife's SUV I will say I'm disappointed. I laid down the base coat as directed on both vehicles. Now I wash the wife's car weekly due to it being Black and her refusal to drive a dirty car. So the next week I gave the car a good hand wash (2 bucket method of course) after lathering it up good with my foam cannon loaded with my Chemical Guys Honey Dew snow foam. And then rinsed it off. I then as the directions says sprayed a light mist on the car while wet and then rinsed it off with my pressure washer. I then proceeded to dry the car. Boy was that a not fun on the Black. Spots and streaks everywhere. I basically had to dry the whole car and then apply a second base coat to get the spots and steaks out. I did try the spray and rinse method on my Taco with much better results. Then about 2 months back I though I'd give it a try on the Black again. Same thing happened again. What should have took 15-20 minutes to wipe down took about an hour to get the spots and streaks out of. I had high hopes for this I really did. But I'm gonna stick with what I think is the best product on the market period. Especially being I wash and hand dry her car almost weekly and mine at least twice a month.
And that is Meguiar's X-Press Spray Wax which cost $30 a gallon. Just mist it on the entire car while wet. Paint, glass plastic trim even rubber. Then dry as you normally would. Makes everything shine and I do mean everything with no streaking or spotting.

That is interesting. Wonder why it doesn't play well on the black car. I have used the Meg's product (not a Meg's fan so probably won't) but I have used Gyeon Wet Coat (similar style product) on a black vehicle with no issues.

My guess is that it's starting to dry before you can get it wiped dry. I had that once with carpro hydro2, the car was too hot and I had to work hard to remove the spots.

The Hydro Blue would adhere better if the paint was clay barred. Clay bars are something I have no desire to use so I don't. My truck has so many layers of different products on it anyways so I just keep adding to it. LOL!

Still on my to try list. I picked up a couple of bottles of Gyeon Wet Coat. Seems to be holding up well on my dad’s car considering he has no idea what washing a car is...lol. Going to work through them then try Hydro Blue.

Not sure that is a fair comparison considering they are applied differently. I would think the Sonax spray and seal is the equivalent to Wet Coat. :notsure:
