Really? Alright, that’s cool. I’m just real appreciative of the stuff I have. I don’t make a whole lot so maybe I just think about my things differently.

My ex (and this is one of the reasons for the ex) was the messiest person I have ever met. She was in the military when I met her and they made it pretty well hidden. As soon as she got out, everything was trashed (apartment, car, etc). I never understood how someone could be that messy. Never took care of anything (and then always complained how everything was broken in some fashion too).

I don't keep my truck super clean, but you'll never find junk building up in it. Longest I've ever had trash of any kind in the truck is from where it was generated to the next truck stop I was stopping at.

I guess I dont appreciate or care for my truck

But hey, its 17 years old and has over 200k on the odometer and still cranks every time I turn the key and people arent embarrassed to ride in it

My lackadaisical cleaning habits of the interior of the truck holds no indication of my appreciation for what I have or the actual care I take of it

Ok, so I don't really TRASH it, but I just about never wash it. I clean the inside because I can't ride in filth. Your comment about vehicles being an investment? LOL, I hear a lot of people say that and I get the old WTF look in my eye. If you think a car/truck/boat/vehicle of almost any kind is an investment, you need a lesson or even just the definition on investing. A vehicle is a consumable. In fact, it's more accurately the single worst "investment" the average person ever makes in their entire life. That said, I do know why you made that comment, but technically something that continually depreciates for it's entire life is what would be considered the opposite of an investment.

I got you. I should have said an expensive asset. It just makes sense to me that you’ll take of expensive things.

I'm still finding dried mud in my cab from a wheeling trip last summer, I guess you could say I trash my truck. No candy wrappers though.

Mud is way harder on a vehicle than a bit of trash on the dashboard or floor

Just like people who have garbage and shit inside and outside of their house. Has nothing to do with finances, its just plain laziness.

And people that dont shower and stink, same thing, just laziness and has nothing to do with money.

To each their own, but i dont wanna smell someone’s stank.

Im blue collar and would prefer to live in the woods by the way.

    Rant Complete.

Personally I couldn't give a rodents behind how people treat their stuff. I myself tend to lean on the tidy and organized side. Mostly because of my diminished ability to remember where the hell I put things and the more clutter makes it exponentially harder to find my wayward things.

Sheeeiiiiiit I could have sworn you were describing my truck lol. After road trips, or when I know Im about to wash it soon, I just let the clutter pile up. Beer cans in the bed, reciepts, yetis, papers, bags etc on the floor. Then, I get it washed and it looks nice af.

Man, maybe we’re just talking about two different things or maybe I didn’t explain it well. People use their trucks. Great. I do too. They get scratches and maybe a stain on the seat. I get that. That’s not what I’m taking about. I’m talking about when the cab looks like the inside of a trash can. Half eaten burgers, months worth of receipts, food containers, literal trash just filling up a cab.
