You’re in for a world of pain/disappointment, amigo. Since you don’t seem inclined to listen to the solid advice you nevertheless asked for... If you’re trying to bring your living room and kitchen along why would you wanna go fast? It’s gonna shake the piss out of your grapefruit Sculpins... Try riding in a dedicated go fast rig once. They’re far from “plush”...scoring points with the IG Broverland crowd and desert prerunning does not go together that easily. That’s way too much weight that’s going to break the bed, bend frame or axle housing and all said and done will bring you over the payload rating. Are you thinking about a 9” rear, with discs and upgraded axles/bearings? Boxed frame?

If I were you I would tear all that overland shit right off my truck, buy an overland trailer and put all that junk on/in there. That way you can park it and have fun in some whoops and the tongue weight of the trailer plus gas plus yourself and other occupants, etc. should stay within the limits of a decent HD SUA setup.

You may be correct but I’m not planning on jumping anything nor did I say I’m planning on going 70 mph otherwise you’re right doing that with any weight or a camper is a suicide

Then why are you trying to go SUA?

Are you familiar with his build? He's not SUA. Anyone know Jims TW handle? I know he is here but it's not his social media tag.

I told you. There are plenty of IG guys who have a setup that’s totally impractical but still take great pics. Does that mean LT and go fast jumps are ideal with a top heavy camper setup? NO. But will people still do it and take pics? Sure! I’m not speaking for him. He can do whatever he wants and he has one of my favorite trucks, I’m just saying if you want to put a camper above your bed and do SUA and go fast - go for it. Take a few pics before you roll it.

One don’t have to go fast or be too top heavy to roll it. That’s not exactly a criteria but I totally do see your point and agree it’s possible.

TC +2" in the front and custom Alcan in the rear. His build is here, not sure what his handle here is.

As already stated Jim Bob is SOA, not SUA. You cannot find him because he deleted his account on here. I think his build is on his own personal website now. AFAIK he doesn't drive like that all the time, jumping it was was for some action photos. If you do a lot of "high speed" desert driving your truck will start to fall apart, ask me how I know.

Jim’s weight was also a lot lower than yours in this pic. His truck is heavier with the new camper. His truck definitely lacks rear suspension, but i’ll be helping him start improving on that in two weeks. It does currently have Allan springs, but the goal is to eventually run a set of custom u402 deaver springs.

The other thing to keep in mind is, you’re looking at a still photo. You’re not in the cab to feel the landing. Go follow trophy burro on Instagram, he’ll show you that you can do this with any vehicle.

He hasn't gone with a relocation in the rear yet has he? Last I say his truck I think it was still OE mounted shocks in the rear.

Yeah we had an appointment to do his shocks at the beginning of the year, but he couldn’t make it because of something with his nitro gear sponsorship, so it’s taken us this long to get our schedules to mesh again.

He has a Pelfreybilt swing out so my assumption is an empty bed. The GFC cuts 120lbs or so from other campers though doesn’t it?

I’d have to check if there are any spec but I don’t think it’s that light habitat is at 340 but it doesn’t have that steel heavy frame like go fast
