Yeah. @Timmah! Runs an A pillar trans temp gauge on his 98 4Runner because of this. Seems to be a clean solution. I almost want to do that over getting a scangauge.

I happen to like individual gauges as well. Help that my only two vehicles are before OBDII was a thing haha. The Mudpod is a good gauge/switch/display holder that you can make match your interior if you have a good flat spot for it to hang out.

This is what I'm doing with it in my LC, in the process of installing it. These are RHD models but you get the idea, I'll take a pic of mine in my LHD model when I'm done.

But you can mount it however...

How much boost and 0-60 time? Just curious how it compares.

Tried measuring the day I took that video and my app wasn’t working. Have to try again. NA was 14.5 seconds mean.

Thought I’d get lucky since I’m running a 1999 transmission, but I guess it’s done ECU side.

Yeah that looks nice in a FJ80. Would be hard to adapt that to our interiors though. I'm leaning towards the LCE A pillar gauges just because I think it's the best spot in a Tacoma interior. Still might end up with a scangauge on the ashtray mount but we'll see.

Yep have to have the MX that supports custom M-gauges. But UG themselves say they don't support 1st gen Tacomas/9141. The M-gauges they supply are only for 2nd gen/CAN & newer. The M-gauge code used is basically the same as for the SG but on the UG it was the RCtl value that was key. No one ever thought to try 00 as it doesn't make sense until @GLR did.

A member from the T4R forum asked UG about how we got it working for 9141 protocol & they basically didn't confirm or offer any additional help.

The 1 ton of weight I've added to it is my guess.

Stock the truck should be about 34-3500lbs and I was at 4800lbs with 33s.

Do you happen to have a data logger or have you been just observing the scangauge?

Did you do a 0-60 at that weight? I'm guessing he's much closer to stock weight than me. My daily weight is around 5250. I'm sure for a trip I'm closer to 5500.

I can data log via Torque but it only has a refresh rate of 1 second.

You’re telling me my 3RZ Auto is faster stock than a turbo’d engine?

Let's go down to sea level and race. :burnrubber:I wouldn't know what to do with all the power.

I also made the mistake of riding in Tim's 10psi supercharged 3.4 DCLB EAF Mystic Gold 5 speed last weekend. Wish a good deal on a supercharger would pop up. :anonymous:
