Yeah Prado & T4R are not the same. T4Rs aren't a series. Just Hilux Surf in Japan.

 

@cruiserguy is shares a similar chassis as a 4th gen runner and some similar engine options. But that's where it stops.

Wut? The new prado is only similar to a 4tg gen runner and fj cruiser. I dont think ant tacos share the same suspension with those. Or maybe 2nd gens do

It does make a big difference without it offroad but if I know I won't be hitting dirt or sand in a while then I put it back on. Doesn't take long at all to take it off or put it back on, 6 fastners and that's it. Summer is here, it's too damn hot to go anywhere!

 

All ik is i rather have a gx470 then a 4runner

 

When did I ever say I was a pro? And how does blowing a diff classify anyone as a pro. Internet bragging points? I could care less if my truck had a front diff. I've had this truck for 14 yrs, if I really wanted I would have converted it a long time ago. I didn't originally buy this truck for offroading

Unfortunately Tundra and Tacoma are their own separate lines, built and designed for North America, we have the best road system in the world hence why we don't see Hilux here. No need. They gave us a cheaper truck that was great for the roads here, Tacoma. Win - win, kinda in my book. But I'd still love to be able to have a Hilux normally here

Fuck that, I would never drop a Honda engine in a Toyota. Guess I'm old school, I hate when all these people put ingines in vehicles that are a different make. There are 3xceptions to my rule though.
