My little girl is heading into 4 weeks old so I feel a little of your pain. I just run checklist 4-4.3 that they should have given you at the hospital for dads/parents. Its good reading material.

    Butt - Dirty
    Food - Hungry
    Gas - Burp
    Temperature - Comfortable
    Lonely - Hold
    Existential Dread - Comfort
    Tired - Sleep

    Easy peasy.

Dobinson’s coils and shocks. SOS sliders, ditch light brackets, and front skid. Rigid ditch lights. BFG KO(dos) More minor stuff.
All this baby talk makes me want a grandkid so I can send it back home to it’s parents after I get my goodie out of it.

Colic is its own section. Section 4-8.2b through 4-8.2n

My mom was so glad that my youngest son turned out to be just as much of a little troublemaker as I was when I was young.

Neither do I but oh well. I guess like everything these days people need hand held or others assume people need to be hand held to be parents so they want to tell you how to do everything instead of letting instincts kick in. Soon humans won't know what to do without someone telling them how to do it.

I told my parents there would be none of that stuff or mine won't spend time with them. Yes I pulled the you won't get unsupervised time with my kid if you decide to sugar her up before she comes home card. I am using their parenting techniques against them to parent them on what they are and are not allowed to do with my daughter

Parenting is common sense, really. Nothing hard about it.

Just have the expectation that shit isn’t about you anymore, you’re not gonna sleep as much as you used to, and you gotta have a lot of patience. The rest is easy.

Uh, yeah. Its from the International Parenting Handbook, 3rd Ed. All first time dads receive a copy at the birth of their child. Its included with the rest of the pamphlet that the hospital gives you.

So my Tacoma is sitting halfway in my driveway with the front wheels locked up and the ABS lights on.
Cannot go forward or in reverse. Looks like my taco will be towed to the Magic Mechanic's house tomorrow.
Lesson learned when you heard a weird squeak don't automatically assume it's your breaks. :annoyed::anonymous::censored:
