Soooo.... why do you need to know the temp of the water you're draining?

It’s dual purpose. It’s a drain plug and it shows the temperature inside of the cooler. Not the temp of the water draining.

Soooo... while you have the lid open, moving stuff out of the way to see the temp gauge, you could just, you know, touch the water. "Yup, still cold." Just say'n. :p

@BLKTRUCK haha I was thinking the same thing. Ice is ice, it's <32* Good to see a premium cooler company making a nice website with their monies, they have a good web developer. But for +/- $300 I have to ask myself why not just make the move to a refrigerator?

@dumontrider I guess we have different interests. I’m sure you don’t have kids and you probably only use your cooler for beer. I camp in the hot desert (stoddard wells) a few days at a time, often. No electricy to plug in a refrigerator. After a day of 100+ with meat, milk & mayo in the cooler. It’s nice to know the food is still going to be good when you need it.

I’ve used the igloo and Coleman coolers, there nothing wrong with them if your using it for beer. I just got good discount and thought I’d share it. The cooler came with all the accessories you would have to pay extra with other coolers.

Sorry, I was excited about a cooler.

It sounds to me like you sold yourself on a fridge for your truck. No cooler can fulfill those needs.

My typo made it confusing, should've been *web* developer not *week* lol. Legit impressed by the site. The coolers present a better value than Orca/Yeti/etc, but still a damn fortune IMO. The refers I've looked into will last multiple days on a stock battery, if yours is upgraded &/or being run every day or 2 then I think they're fine. YMMV. The bunghole thermometer just threw me off lol. If my ice is all water then I know I'm on borrowed time.

Make the move. Fridge is one of the best mods ever.
