What kind of intervals have you been doing.

I've been a Mobile1 fan from long before the Tacoma. 5w30. Of late, I have been going longer and longer between changes. Typically 6-7K these days.

 

I’d probably jump on it if the damn core support was messed up.

Swapping an engine and interior, welding and getting the hang of a 5 speed is just toooo much right now.

 

I run Napa conventional 5/30 which I think is just Valvoline reboxed.idk. Good enough for me every 5,000 miles so far

 

What happened to the ‘99 again?

 

Everything

1. Frames dying
2. Cabs dying
3. Beds dying
4. Diff is dead (being fixed)
5. It’s tired

I’m gonna drive it till it dies for good and then demote the 02 to its death bed, if I do find a shell/frame.

 

Yeah, changed every 3k it can handle just about anything. But synthetic is more stable at high temps.

 

I go about that long now too. But mostly because I have to change the oil like every 3 months or less now..

 

Damn. That sucks. You’ve put some pretty good miles on that one, though, at least.

 

I would love to hear what kinds of feedback you get for both 3.4s.

 

Wow, thats a lot of miles. I am typically doing an oil change twice a year. Maybe even a bit less.

 

Yea, it hasn’t been very many places but it’s been to the same places many times haha

 

yeah well..50miles a day commute man haha and thats just for work.

 

I have run Castrol 5/30 synthetic as long as 10k before and it still looked new when I changed it. FWIW

 

Wish I was in the market of buying a house

 

kind of expensive for a trailer house..haha

 

I was looking more at the location and garage, didn’t even notice it was trailer

 

yes well...if you were really looking for a house you would haha

I'd pass. Trailer houses suck man.

Yeah I have no skin in the fight, just thought it was interesting. He said a lot is subjective anyway. His random tests of other products I enjoy, I think he does a good job of at least providing other info than manufacturers "we are the best claims"

 

yeah he doesn't some cool test for sure that in anything are just fun haha
