Mine were Series EE bonds which were the most common ones in the 80s, the interest payments max out after 30 years so mine stopped gaining interest in 2015.

She got me 5 $100 bonds which are now at $230 each, not very much interest over 30 years haha. But heck that's a little over a grand I didn't even know I had 30 minutes ago. Gonna go toward my truck payment lol.

You should buy your kid a bond now. Maybe it will be enough for college in 18 years

No, my current truck payment. In 2016 this truck cost me just north of $20k with only 24k miles on it. I didn't have $20k+ cash on hand to part with at the time.

As of today I owe about $4k on it, so I'm getting close to the point where I'm going to pay it off in one chunk.

24k miles on it bone stock mines the blower. That's what they go for.

Yeah, that's too bad. He created the second account, then posted a thread call "upgrade my chit to perma".

Yup. It was over my budget at the time but when I saw the dealer listing I couldn't ignore it, I was at the dealership in San Diego 3hr away the next morning before they opened lol. It was pristine. Emphasis on the 'was'

A TRD OR 4x4 2nd gen double cab would have been considerably more with close to the same mileage.

And also it wouldn't be a best gen
