    I haven’t looked into it. My wife is always house shopping so I’ll ask her tomorrow. I know where I live now, you can get that for <100k. Obviously a lot more in the city

    Down here, that $250k house probably has McAllen Memorial HS, 3 hospitals literally down the road, good jobs everywhere, HEB, WalMart, and good diversity in that area of McAllen. The Plaza Mall is maybe a 15 minute drive with no traffic from McAllen Memorial.

    I live in Hidalgo, has 7,700 as of 2010. McAllen is a 6 minute drive from my place, so I live in a good spot too.

    Even the worst hoods in McAllen will have significantly less crime than OKC. There's some scary looking dudes in there, but they won't do anything lol. I think there was only 2-3 homicides in this entire area last year.
