    Back in the day, this immediate area had a lot of small dairy farms. Popular in that time frame was "stave silo's" . 25 or 30' tall on average, they were built with concrete or terra cotta blocks and threaded steel rods wrapped tightly around the outside. As new subdivisions went in.... old silos went to the landfill.

    My "goal" was to find one, dismantle it, bring it home, and set it up at a corner of my garage. Then a spiral stair case to the top. There I'd have my hide-away...

    As my plan developed, the top would be made to resemble a artillery turret. "Neighbor of the Week" would have mock (or not) gun tube aimed at their front door.

    The land we lease to hunt is a high end get away for city folks to come to in the summer till @september. They took a silo and made an obsevation tower for their guest to look out over the valley an look at deer and bears and stuff while they drink cocktails.if they look hard enough they will see some well placed tree stands:thumbsup:
