    keeping jersey dirty
So my bees aren't really adding comb to one of the outermost frames (the one next to the feeder specifically). Will it upset them if i switch it with a honey filled frame that is closer to the middle? Could this be a sign of something?

Swap it with the drawn frame. If you have 70-80 % of your bottom box drawn add your next box . Are you in jersey? Here is a local guy Kevin good info you have a flow coming .

Expanding still. I had to cut a wider notch in their door because during 'rush hour' there were some pretty big bottlenecks. They're still working on filling up the second Super that I put on top a few weeks ago, but are drawing comb on the remaining frames like crazy. One thing that annoys me is that they keep starting burr comb on the underside of the lid. I scrape it off every week when I do my inspection, but they've started again by the next weekend. I'm considering adding the honey super just to keep them occupied, lol.

If building on the lid then they are looking to expand

It's strange, though, because they were building on the lid even when they had 3 empty frames on either side of the second super I'd added. :notsure:

Damn bees, why don't they do what makes sense to ME?!

Sure, while I've got their hive apart I talk to them. And if one buzzes past me in the yard.

I pull one of the drawn super frames up, or put the new super under the drawn with one drawn frame above the brood nest

I’m officially out of the game (again). Got another PCS coming up. Sold the bees and half my hives. Not before I pulled off the Spring flow though

    7D1FF3DA-5C3B-490E-B09F-75AC5F2036E5.jpg

Add this to what I got last fall and I have enough to bathe in. Just might do that too

Next assignment looks like Hawaii (not official yet) and am looking forward to learning how to keep bees in a third climate.

I'd be trying my hand at mead, if I had that sort of stash.
