Doors Won’t Lock when anything is plugged in to cigarette lighter power

Took me awhile to figure it out but once I unplugged the power cord it was lockable from the outside ...

 

Same here, except only with something like a power bank that pushes power back in through the usb

 

This is the first I've ever heard of something like this. I plugged a dash-cam into mine when it was new, and it's never been unplugged. Not had a problem.

 

Happened to me too. I had a set of radios charging via the cigarette plug and my truck wouldn't lock and would beep as if I was leaving the keys in the truck. It took me a couple days to realize it.

 

I've had this happen with my GoPro plugged in, took me forever to figure it out also. Sounds like a common issue with certain devices...good to know it's not just my truck.

 

I would assume it's to make sure you don't drain the battery. Same reason why you can't have the radio going, then take the keys and lock the truck.

 

Some of those cheap Chinese made adapters that go from cigarette lighter to USB put out interference as they are not shielded...always buy a good one.

Get it checked at Stealership. Seems like a soon to fail BECU board relays.
