I second the level 4-5 pace. When I first started doing stairs I’d work up to 5-6 and now I usually work up to level 8-10. I also found the actual steps to be taller than I anticipated so keep that in mind too. Best of luck to ya!

Go slow. Start with a pace you can still relatively breathe well at. After a few times you’ll dial in on a good pace.

I enjoy the stair stepper quite a bit. It will help you with your running.

You get better at it more quickly than you do with other cardio.

It’s a good thing I sit in a tractor for work, my legs are gonna be sore!
.5 mile run to warm up and then on to the stair stepper.
By floor 6 I was sweating like a stuck pig but I wasn’t breathing like I had been running so that was nice.

Natty is very subjective though. Testosterone is "natural" Creatine is "natural" caffeine is "natural" yet some of these are allowed, some are not. HGH is "natural" too, the body does produce it. Insulin is "natural". Natural is such a dumb ass word IMO. How do they even test you for some of this crap?

If normal T levels are 200-700 and you are 900... you are on some TRT lol.

I’m not sure about HGH but T has a logarithmic relationship with mass building. Only excessive levels help build mass not moderate levels. So if you are using TRT for gains your levels are going to exceed the normal range.

Creatine is easy to test for because you shouldn’t have high levels normally through diet.

My old PT who was a natural bodybuilder had to show up for comps 24 hours in advance for urine and blood tests.

Found the guy on juice that claims natty...

Anything that your body would naturally produce, but you add extra. Or any compounds that are lab produced that you ingest either orally or via injection to enhance performance.

They piss test. Most stuff will be unnoticeable in a piss test within a few weeks, depends on the compound.

Little behind on the thread, but back to the hammy accessory conversation... If you're not doing glute ham raises (not to be confused with back extensions), you probably should be. I can't find a better way to light up the hams. It's an extremely humbling exercise. I had to start using a band around the GHD and looped across my chest for assistance when I started. Gradually used progressively lighter bands until I could do them unassisted. Remember, no hip hinge allowed!

Damn that's intense blood and urine.

I like how you get juice out of all that and really there is no mention of juice - except test which is natural.

I completely forgot our gym had this machine, it's kinda hidden in the kettle bell area, now I'm going to try it.

You really have to cue yourself to not let your hips break. Start off with a big band till you get the movement down.

Plan to use the handicap stall with handrails tomorrow. New movement variations always wreck my world. Haha

I have terrible genetics. Long limbs, narrow frame. Never played any muscle demanding sports either growing up so that didn't help. Always was the skinny kid. I hardly weighed over 100# when I got to 8th grade.

Love me a good unfrosted tart. My postwork meal is potatoes, but for 3 months it was cereal or poptart. Had to switch it up again. I like to try thing in phases and see where it gets me. I guess that's whats so great about this, you can experiment alot.
