any interest in an enclosed 5x8 trailer, single axle? My housemate is selling his soon. Virtually new has he is OCD about his stuff and it was used to move indoor things (furniture, studio equipment, etc) and not mowers and stuff.

Any good alignment shops around denver metro? Thinking about just doing Firestone lifetime. Good or bad idea?

 

Possibly, although there’s a lot of time and expenses between now and when I need it. Any idea what he wants for it?

I did Firestone lifetime, I've had it for over 8 years now. Took me 3 shops to finally find one who can align our trucks and been good since.

 

Unless you just want them to put it in spec, I think the key with any of those shops is to know what you want the technician to do, and talk to him and/or leave a note in the vehicle with specifics. At Big O tires, I explained to the sales guy up front that I have big tires and wanted them to set my caster out of spec, somewhere between 3 and 3.5 so that it wouldn't rub my cab mounts, and that I would be bringing it back if they didn't follow my instructions. He wrote "Check caster" in the notes section. As soon as I saw the numbers I pointed out that they did not do what I asked and asked to speak directly with tech. He showed me the note the sales guy left and rolled his eyes told me to bring it back and he would set it up correctly now that he understood what I wanted.

 

Went to Firestone before seeing this unfortunately.

Which shop do you use if you dont mind sharing?

Yeah that's what my research is telling me. After reading ENDLESS threads on alignments I think I know what to ask for next time.

Guy didnt do a bad job (I think), but I'll probably take it back at the end of the month and ask for more caster, less cross camber

 

County Line and Holly. There is guy there, no idea his name, with a shaved head that always does my truck.

@Littles isn't wrong. I had those issues too.

Who is going to Toytec this weekend? I wouldn’t mind meeting some of you peeps. I think the only person I’ve met is Charlie when I bought his tonneau. And Coop, he picked up a toolbox from me.
