Yeah, looking into it and you have to have the Premier package and the RV add on package. It's looking like $150 a year or so. But reading the fine print the rub is your coverage can be denied if your trailer doesn't get routine maintenance. Who decides that? I mean I can change a flat and I have a spare, but if a hub seizes, then are they going to say I didn't grease it properly or something? Boat trailers can look nasty even when they are perfect, who decides if I've maintained it properly?

I carry tools with me and hope I never need anything beyond what I can repair on my own on the side of the road or at least limp to a place that can make more extensive repairs.
In your state, you're likely rolling the dice unless you keep maintenance records of what you do to the trailer and when (or have it serviced by a dealer). My parents live in NY and they're required to get annual inspections, just like a car, so I'd imagine if you pass every year, you could say it's maintained (more or less).

So I think I found the source of that misfire on the outboard that I was talking about, @jethro

Pulled the plugs this weekend and the top one was covered with the grey sludge of doom. Did some research online and apparently the exhaust gaskets are prone to failure on these motors. The other alternative is a cracked cylinder, but I've got good compression and I pulled the rear water jacket cover off the motor, went over it with bright light and inspection mirror and can't find any cracks in the jug.

    20190610_182536.jpg

I did, however, find this when I pulled the exhaust plates:

    20190610_182928_resized.jpg

    20190610_182851_resized.jpg

    20190610_182921_resized.jpg

I cleaned the plate up with some carb cleaner and a brush, and can't find any defects in the plate itself, so hopefully it was just this bad spot on the gasket letting water in and boogering the plug.

I'll bet that's exactly what it was. New gasket time and you may be good! Compression test would tell you if you had a cracked jug for sure.

Hopefully. I'd rather not swap the power head if I can avoid it.

That's for sure. The powerhead for my 150 was replaced a few years before I bought it to the tune of $4700.

Speaking of boats, I'm gonna be on the Sheepscot this weekend. You headed East or just getting the boat ready?

Getting it ready. Haven't been able to get it out on the water yet this season because I hadn't found time to diagnose that misfire yet, so this past weekend I staked out some time to do it.

Eagles lack hardpoints; it'd have to be an internal loadout.

Nice. Hey, sorry, tire question for you. I'm getting some E-load tires for my truck today. I was asking about the TPMS and what pressures it will be set at as opposed to what I will run and he says the TPMS will always be set at what is recommended for my truck on the door. He says I will probably be running much lower pressures than the tire is rated for. Will that compromise the wear life of the tire if I am running tires that call for max 70psi at like 40 or 45?
