    Theres another road not shown on the map in the link that connects from near Black Butte back to Hwy 287. Id suggest that route and the northern stretch of the red highlighted route for the best scenery and easiest driving. Still takes a whole day, its a big area.

    Off work starting tomorrow at noon until Friday noon. Leave for Medford, Wi. around lunch time tomorrow to shoot all the clay targets we want. For a price. High of 60° Thursday about perfect and about what it was today but rain today and tomorrow. Started packing, bug spray- check. Worst have ever seen gnats in my life been a wet year. Lots of bugs and should be a good fall for game birds. Plenty of food (insects) for the chicks, as long as they don't drown first.

    Guys that own the house next to us in SD pheasant hunting bring pasties every year and invite us over for dinner for our annual pasties meal. George picks them up from the local Lutheran church. They are from Mineral Point, Wi. and also bring a bunch of well aged cheddar. This side of the River is Lutefisk, ugh.
