Prices go up for a lot more reasons than “crooks” though. Inflation is one... added features to vehicles whether for comfort or required by law is another. Your “fully loaded” truck 30 years ago is definitely way more basic than even a low end model modern truck. New technologies and new features cost money to add to vehicles, that price gets passed to consumer. And then full size trucks are much bigger, much more materials and bigger engines... they are going to cost more.

Installed Powertray and auxiliary fuse bus. If I didn't have to spend better than an hour fishing tools and parts out of the skid plate because they slipped out of my not so nimble fingers, this would have been a pretty easy job. I think I'm going to shorten a couple of the connections.

That just means higher taxes. And the truck prices seem cheap compared to our housing market.

Very sad but true! The combination of taxes, housing costs, fuel prices etc. has me seriously considering leaving the state; or at least the coast. Might start looking at Southern California desert communities. Somewhere where it doesn't take 30 minutes to travel 5 miles on the freeway! Plus it would be a nice change of scenery and there's lots of trails down there!

Received and "installed" new plates from the DMV. The new U of O ones look cool against a black truck. Thinking of green-vinyling the "tacoma" on the back to match. My wife and I are both alums and Oregon season ticket holders. I realize this forum is heavily SEC-country based; we Ducks get another shot at Auburn to open the season in Jerryworld. I will be there with some of my college buddies.

Not showing an actual picture of my plate because....apparently that's a bad idea? Still unclear why. So here's my hackey photoshop replication.

I like the Ducks because the fans were some of the nicest I've been around when they came to Knoxville several years ago.

    Gained 14hp over the weekend:

    Snugtop GB Sport cap (-7hp)
    4R Pro 17x7 wheels (+4hp)
    Revo 3’s 265/70-17 (+2hp)
    Meso turns (+15hp)

Nicely improved handling and stance. Revos on my 1st Gen were great as all rounders.

Well, I don't feel you would get the same accommodation as an opponent fan in Baton Rouge, just sayin......:)

I was there! We had a BLAST. The students running around on the field during the weather delay was cracking us up.
UT fans were super accommodating, and also friendly during the return visit to Oregon. I root for you guys now. that was an awesome trip.

I went to the Oregon-LSU game in the Jerrydome a few years ago too. Met a ton of cool people, partied with LSU fans, everyone was cool and nice. Really want to make it to BR for a game soon.

I can actually stand to be around LSU fans because I have family in LA and I'm a Saints fan. My daughter will probably end up going to either UT or LSU and I'm ok with that. Bama fans, nope, cant do it!
