Weird. Didn’t someone else on here have an issue with that?

They’re up now. TW must have been buffering.

Still a fan of that glass. Where did you say you got that again?

I sent you the Beer Geek right? I think it was coffee and vanilla and something else? If that was the one... Probably a 3/5.

I highly recommend your first booths be Horus and J Wakefield. If you dont go there first, they WILL be tapped out within an hour. Horus usually just does bottle pours, and I think J Wakefield does as well.

You can't be a fan of American microbrews and get stuck on style guidelines from the Brewer's Association. Just because they fall between styles up until recently doesn't mean it's invalid, it just means it's new. Plenty of styles have been there before. The american craft beer industry is built on the idea of pushing boundaries, bending styles, and ignoring limits. Every popular american brew is a modification of an original classic style, and a far cry from it generally.

You love pastry stouts, but that's not a style, so you can't like them by your logic. Your opinion is that many hazy's aren't good. This, however, puts you in the minority unfortunately, so buck up and get over it :D

Where did the juicy hop nectar touch you!?

I believe most are done with bottles, and the event is limited tickets so everyone can get some pours. My buddy went last year and said it was hands down the best festival he’d been to, and it should be for $125.

I’m very much looking forward to it, but I’ll have some over 10 hours of driving in the past 24 hours at that point and will hate life.

I don't not like hazies because they're new and not an official style. I don't like hazies because the majority of them fucking suck. They are still a relatively newer style though compared to an OG IPA.

If I want to drink a glass of juice, I'll go fucking buy a gallon of it for the same price as a pint of their sugarwater bullshit.

So you're telling me every podunk brewery in the country who makes an "IPA" as one of their core 4 beers makes something good? I've had way more of those that were junk than hazies I found undrinkable.

The magic of a good hazy is the skill it takes to extract the flavors of juice from something that contains nothing close to the nectar of a fruit, while making it boozy and silky smooth to drink.

You all are assuming I hate ALL hazies, which is not true. I do enjoy a well done hazy. But I've had so many hazies that are shit, or not even a real hazy. Chances are though, that same podunk brewery that has a west coast and a hazy, the west coast would be better done than the hazy.

It was...but it was cold, rainy, happy, and outdoorsy. A lot of things would probably have tasted pretty damn good.
