YESS! Now all we need is a video compilation of people falling trying to get into these trucks.

That's one thing I wish I would've got into, low riders, before 4x4ing took ALL of my money. Expensive dman hobby. What's awesome is I'm in Utah big religious state, and that's fine that's not the point, but there is a low rider club named 'Lo and behold' which is also like the beginning to many Bible verses!:rofl:i thought that was the coolest low rider club name ever

Yeah they were a lot of fun, that's all I wanted when I was a teenager. Bought my first truck (an '82 S-10) when I was 14 and slowly worked on it until I got my license. Then I got a '99 S-10 (which was financed & only a year old at the time) and bagged it :sawzall::welder: I think I still have a few pics dragging frame throwing sparks down the highway. Spent so much money on that truck over the 7 or so years I had it... not a single regret.

Truck shows were a blast - hanging with friends, partying at the hotels afterwards and the entire lot would be custom trucks! It was cool seeing what people would come up with, some hot rod quality builds out there too. I'm not religious but I can appreciate a well thought out club name, there were some clever ones out there for sure lol

A long time ago I had an '82 S-10 pickup. Orange/white outside and tan inside and those rims with the poverty center caps/stainless outer rings that gave that little truck a kind of old-school truck rod look. It had the most anemic Isuzu 4-banger that kept blowing head gaskets and a 4-speed slushbox.
But I loved that truck for its simplicity and sometimes I miss it:anonymous:

Lol mine had that motor too - it was a 1.9L, the carburetor was always giving me trouble. It was lowered on 16" billet wheels and had custom body work and paint. I'll find pics and post them up.

It was a whopping 82HP/101lb.ft.TQ and you were lucky if a little bit more than half of that power made it to the rear wheels. I don't get what they were thinking putting such a weak plant into a truck that folks expected to do real work. If I remember correctly, it had to turn 15" rims/tires and sometimes I felt I was too much weight for it!

Old scanned in pic of my ‘82 before I sold it, doesn’t do it justice. The paint was nice - graphics were air brushed House of Kolor Lime-time green.

    upload_2019-6-11_18-23-54.jpg

    And dragging the ‘99:
