    You may be right. I may have misunderstood, when he posted they would use same harness I assumed parallel compatibility rather than one way.
    I probably should not AAS-U-ME It does tend to cause confusion.

    Conversely, it seems with the puddle pods and DSIMs DomeRock module both using the same harness that is it quite possible the compatibility is in both directions. Kind of feels/looks like he is building a platform to host multiple mods. Maybe @MESO can clear up the issue.

    Yep, it depends on what @MESO clarifies. @DSIM first tapped this source for the trigger. Since it also contained his other need (+12v switched) it was a natural that they work together on collaboration for a solution. It’s funny that we’re this far in and the answer is simple - is the Puddle Pods harness forward compatible with the V5? Yes/No.

    The Puddle pods and the V5's BOTH need additional wires that are currently not present in the door.
    The puddles need 2 wires(dome +, -)
    THE V5's need 2 wires(DRL +, dimmer+)

    So when I was putting together my puddle light harnesses and extensions, it only made sense to use a 4 WIRE connector. That way you would only have to run the wire ONCE through the truck, even if you only have 1 of the mods and it's all "future proofed" for the other in case you upgrade.
    ALL of the wires we need can be found at the drivers a-pillar which is why I made the plug and play T harness. Yes, DSIM is using the same one. I offered to let him purchase some of my inventory to use for his own rock light kits. As for compatibility with his, I am working on it. My main priority was to get this wiring kit designed and put together for my mods. Once everything has been ironed out, I will look into supporting 3rd party add ons.

    Yes you can. There is ignition and ILL. power in the door. I just wanted to keep things simple and not confusing by tapping all in 1 shot, 1 location(a pillar)

    Both are in development. The HEX light is going to be awesome. It’s my first “universal” product and will be very small and versatile. And at a VERY competitive price point (~$20)
