Yeah, on a machining forum. All the other mods are old, well much older than me, so yeah, old. Lol. I don't act like a mod though, I'm not like that, I'm just me. I've never banned anyone or anything like that. I just help keep the forum organized. I've tried to joke around with them before, no one ever responds, they're way too damn serious. Lol

They nominated me to be on their "board or directors". I declined. I also tried to resign from being a mod once, they ingnored my request.

Any supplemental income in doing that? I know the mods here say they don't get paid but on other busy forums I sometimes wonder how they get so many people to commit so much time to them without any reimbursement lol.

Nah, no monies involved for me. On that forum I became a moderator only for one specific section that I was familar with. The entire forum at the time wasn't very active so it wasn't time consuming. Things changed and eventually I got mod priveledges for the entire site. That forum has grown a lot since then but even today it's not that active, this lunchable thread is more active than that entire site. Lol. And I'm not obligated to anything, I don't have specific duties that I'm required to do. Heck I'm here way more than I am there. Lol

Lol, I have no idea but I doubt it. I'm not even sure how to ban someone but I know I can. I don't have admin rights though.

must...resist...commenting in 3rd gen jumping thread....

"How many of you jump your Tacomas?? Screw all that BS overlanding lame stuff or crawling, just send it."

I have a feeling most of them are jumping stock trucks that mom and dad paid for.

No offense to you or your avatar @zero4 haha

Reminds me of that new Jeep Cherokee jumping instagram video someone posted yesterday

Lol. I don't even really care anymore. I wasn't active there for like 2 yrs so I posted in the staff forum requesting that I didn't want to be a mod anymore. Not one reply from anyone, lol. I'm back on there now & sometimes I do help out with out of place threads & my input on matters but really I'm just like every other regular member, I'm just there for the knowledge content.

Lol, I would never jump a stock truck or just simple bolt on LT. Yeah I've jumped like maybe 2 or 3 times. Once was intentional, my avatar, but I was drunk. Made for a good pic though. The other times were not intentional & weren't really jumps, just caught some air.

half the jumps they're showing in that thread are just small whoops they took at like 20mph so I wouldn't even really count it as a jump

I want to find that one 2nd gen thread where the dude accidentally hit a whoop going 40mph and buckled the rear of his frame when he landed

But yeah jumping a truck that's built to handle it is one thing lol. Jumping a stock truck because you think it's cool to get away without breaking something is another, I doubt they'd even know where the real damage was.

Yeah, I try to stay away from 3rd gen threads. They're so sensitive & always think cause I have a best gen that I'm only there to stir up trouble. Fuckin 3rd genners, lol. 2nd gen guys are cool though.

Not sure if you guys remember this bag of Dorritos from Japan that I posted a while back. I sent it to my brothers & they were also like WTF. Like WTF is the logic behind it.

One of my brothers found this: https://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/電気あんま

Like that's even a thing! Still WTF! I want to go to Japan so bad just to experience all the crazy shit there!

Looks like the orange dude is dragging a dead body and then decided to kick it square in the nuts to make sure he's dead.

Apparently it some type of massage. Lol. But WTF does it have to with Dorritos and why would they put it on the bag. That flavor of Dorritos (whatever it is) is supposed to give you the same feeling or something? Lol, yeah, no thanks.
