Is the ring a separate piece? I’ve been wanting to have mine painted black and it would be way easier if the ring was a separate piece from the mesh and the rest of it

Just your regular pirated-in-China, sold-on-Amazon faux grille.

Looks much better than the stock OR grille IMO.

Nice. I’m liking the 4 lights over 3 right now. But the 3 mounted at the very top looks pretty awesome too

Yes, you have to pull the whole grille assembly off (really easy)and there are a bunch of tabs and screws holding it on.20190509_174456.jpg 20190512_105125_HDR.jpg

I was thinking about going that route myself. However, I’ve got an OEM Pro Grille, and the thought of taking a dremel to it for fit just made me cringe. Be aware, there’s some fitment issues with the lights that supposedly “snap” in place. Not sure if it’s grille related or light related, but I ended up using silicone on the two in the middle to get them to fit snugly.

I’m thinking of buying OEM too. Is there a way to modify the lights, so that you don’t have to cut into the grille? Does anybody know the differences between the OEM grille and the knock-off?

Biggest reason I went OEM instead of knock-off, was price paid. I was able to use a boatload of HHonors hotel points with Amazon, and ended up paying $96 delivered. I’ve heard good and bad about the knock-offs. My biggest concern, was whether or not they’ll fade after a few years, etc. I don’t expect that with OEM parts.

Damn. Did they ask if you installed the grill? I might take the idiot approach and try going in saying “that’s how I bought it from you guys”. Gonna have to buy OEM if I want to convince them on that

Nope, they didn’t ask me anything, and didn’t seem to care. They can tell how the truck was equipped when it was sold by the VIN. No need to try any sort of angle as Toyota documents things quite well. If you’ve had Toyota dealership work done, just go look at your service history on your Toyota Owners app on your phone. It’s almost spooky.

I just spent the entire afternoon uninstalling my OEM Pro grille, Raptor lights, HID kit, Morimoto amber fogs, and switch pro in order to go back to the dealer for the radar recall and to get my driver's side headlight warrantied (LED DRL went out). Pain in the ass, but I felt it was necessary to avoid all the drama of the "modified" vehicle memo from Toyota.

    Oh, and here’s my grille.
