NE area wheeling trip plans

Hmmm depending on when I might be interested, does the location support a stock truck? Willing to work with someone who’s never off roaded before lol

 

Im down to explore some VT trails, keep me informed brotha. Im busy up until the 23rd of this month. After that im good to go for RI spot and vermont trips

 

I want to get out off-road, but my gas tank hangs low. Definitely need a lift and gas tank skid before hitting a trail.

 

Stock is fine for that spot. Only one hill you would want to skip

You know the RI spot. You could go there just fine

 

I would get a front IFS skid before a gas tank skid honestly. I always hit the front cross member before i got one

 

I’ve had fun in Southern VT between Arlington and Stratton, neat roads over there. Let me know, I’ll see if I can make it if you don’t mind company.

It's totally stock friendly. You will likely get pinstripes though. Do long as you're ok with that stock truck is fine.

 

Pinstripes, small dents, dings.......I think they give a offroad vehicle character IMHO. That is just me though

 

Work is really light for me this time of year until august so if we get something together there's a solid chance I can make it.

 

Keep me in the seperate thread loop also, wouldnt mind another weekend in vermont soon. Gotta get out there this summer.

 

Last weekend in June a few of us are going to explore up in NH also.
@mhoadley is coming I think and an FJ whos not on TW is going and giving us a place to crash.

Also Rich, did you regear when you went to 35’s? Im on 33 E rated tires now and im straight up not having a good time on the highways haha

 

Yep re-geared for the 35s. I must say that I like it alot.
I also run 33s skinny for normal driving and am hoping to like them in the snow.

 

Where did you get them done, how long did it take and how much for everything "bottom line" for the regear?

 

ECGS, 5 year warranty (standard), 5.29s, solid spacers, all new bearings, 5 quarts of gear oil, Detroit rear locker, ARB front locker, shipping back, rear wheel bearings, seals, and retainers was turn around time of a week or so and 4 days total on shipping. A little under $3,300. Shipping was less than $70 for 3 boxes totaling 150lbs
