I figure if I tell the wife some bad MoFos are after me, she will give me the penny. But no way I’d get 2cents. Actually, she always gives me her 2 cents.

I've been enjoying this thread since the beginning and hope it doesn't die.

Hobbs, just wondering if you know how the road is up to Coyote Flat?

The road to Coyote is open from the Bishop side, with some smallish drifts still holding in the higher flats near the airfield. Those should be mostly gone in the next few days with the heat we are having. Supposed to be 100 tomorrow in Big Pine. The road from Big Pine is open up to the saddle at Sugarloaf. I don't see that lasting too terribly long either as we are looking at mid-90's temps here in the valley through the next 7-10 days.

Nobody goes up the Big Pine entrance. You actually have to do some wheeling. lol

The switchbacks up the Bishop side are washed out but passable. Another big rain could change that in a hurry though.

Right! The BP route is a challenge. A coworker went up the Bishop side Saturday and said it wasn't bad, just some snow hanging around up high.

I'b bet money the huge drift that's about a mile past the lower creek campsites is still there. Everything heading over towards Baker and Sugarloaf should be melted out. Once I get my LBJ's welded to my spindles I'll cruise up and play. Last year I was heading over to Baker parking when this Power Wagon on 37's comes up along side me. He told me there's no way I could make it through. The rocky section about 1/2 mile from Baker was totally snowed over. Maybe 16-20" of wet slop. I got to the spot where you could see he turned around. Threw it in lo, locked F/R and drove right to Baker. It was so nice having the whole area to myself. lol
